My Story
I was a speech/language pathologist for 30 years. During that time, in 1995, I started taking CranioSacral classes through the Upledger Institute and felt that body work was calling me. It felt natural.
Around 2018, I was introduced to Polarity Balancing, which was a fascinating and powerful modality.
When there were shutdowns in 2020, the Barbara Brennan School of Healing offered online classes. I had read some of Dr. Brennan’s books and was very interested in her work, so I signed up for Year One in the fall of 2020. Through a combination of online and in person work, I continued study through 2024.
I became a certified Brennan Healing Science Practitioner in June, 2024, graduating from a 4-year program.

I am Cathy Teich, BHSP, and I am the owner of Heart Pond Energetics. I started this practice in the summer of 2024. It was created so that I could include all modalities that I use in healing sessions under one name that would more appropriately define what I do as a healer.
Formerly, my business name had been Talkeetna CranioSacral Therapy. I felt that the name Heart Pond Energetics would better define the essence of my work in the areas of CranioSacral Therapy / SomatoEmotional Release (which may include the release of energy cysts), Polarity Balancing (balancing energy in the body), and Brennan Healing Science (working with the energy centers and bands of energy around the body).
Heart Energy is healing energy… and my last name means “pond of water.”
